It exceeds the hype. I dream of Tartine croissants and coffee.

The pastries are fantastic, too! But, be forewarned, you will have to queue up for the goodies. Both times I have been, the line has gone out the door and down the street.

Oh yes I blogged about Tartine a while back, Tartine is the best! You have to try the lattes, they serve you in giant bowls, its heavenly. Make sure to get there early and I recommend taking things to go and having a picnic at Dolores park right down the street.

Thanks for posting this! I'm still pinching myself for not having visited Tartine during my trip to San Francisco last June.

Everything is good at Tartine, and best is they share thir recipes with us throug their books.
I've only been there once, but my mind comes back there from Lisbon every time I bake.
Guests at http://www.myhomeinlisbon love when I bake after Tartine's recipes

if you come to the bay, please let me take you to tartine and introduce you to chad. better yet, please come to one of the dinners i cook at the bakery each month to celebrate that heavenly bread and the folks who make it.
