My mom always makes the BEST breakfastes. This year we are having some long johns (the most amazing Dutch donut) and an egg casserole! Delish.

I made Christmas pudding oatmeal. Chunky oats, soya milk, chia seeds, Christmas pudding all crumbled in and brandy cream + some nutmeg sprinkled on. Delicious. Especially for a Brit like me :)

My baker husband makes every year a delicious stollen. It is a German bread cake made of marzipan, candied citrus, cranberries and raisins. We'll eat it for many mornings to come! Happy Holidays!

Plain yogurt with almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, apple, and cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon + green chai tea and maybe an orange:]

Or maybe, my Christmas scones with butter and Christmas-ham + tea

Or sandwiches with egg and caviar + tea

God I love breakfasts...

Creme brulee french toast was on our table this year; along with a side of chicken apple sausage and multiple cups of strong coffee.

Beautiful holiday pic -
I so look forward to Christmas Brunch as my mother makes her delicious quiche only on this morning - along with Land of Nod, a softer sort of cinnamon bun pile made in a bundt pan. Merry Christmas!

A holiday breakfast? Coffee, orange juice and a slice of panettone!

I like making touch of grace biscuits and ham on Christmas Eve, then the next morning we have the leftover biscuits with slices of ham and I whip up some eggs and lay out a few cheeses... people can make their own breakfast biscuits with an assortment of spreads (mustards, butter, jams, etc)

Our traditional breakfast is:
eggs benedict, cooked apple slices and pecan rolls. It's now being made by the third generation :)

Either pancakes, croissants and jam or brioche bread pudding.

Yes we are pigs at Christmas ;)

Merry Christmas!

Here in Belgium, we eat 'Cougnou' on Christmas morning.
It's a soft bread shaped like baby Jesus and it comes in chocolate or sugar

I like all sorts of breakfasts during the school break, from bean burritos, to pizza, to polenta with cheese and tomatoes, to kale and tofu...and then of course there's the pie. Today I had pumpkin pie for breakfast, which was just divine. It is so nice to be able to put some thought and effort into good breakfasts after eating cereal or toast every morning during the school week.

kale @ tastes good to me! said...

I love your tea strainer. So cute!

It's summer here in New Zealand, so my favourite holiday breakfasts have been fruit smoothies - and Essene buns topped with avocado :)

Every year on Christmas morning, my mom always makes sausage cheese balls. We've had to modify them now since I've had to become gluten-free. She makes a pot of coffee, gets out her best china and fancy napkins. My mom makes the best coffee. We open presents and enjoy my favorite Christmas tradition.
