I've noticed that you very rarely will use the whole egg for your breakfasts. Is this because of the lower fat/cholesterol factor? Because you use the yolks for another use (ice cream making, for example)? Or, simply because you don't like them?
Siri, I guess it is just because of the health factor. I do use eggs a lot in baking, and I do sometimes have a whole egg for breakfast. I just try to cut back where I can. I usually buy the carton of egg whites and sometimes do not have whole eggs on hand.
I was meaning to ask... What do you do with egg yolks after you've used the whites for ybreakfast? Throwing them away just always made me feel a little uncomfortable if I was going for an egg white omelet, yet I could never put them to good use :S
denise, i grew up eating a large amount of processed foods. so i have had my fair share of sugary cereals and pop tarts. it was a hard habit to break, but i'm glad i did.
When I was a tot I used to beg for Lucky Charms. The answer was almost always "no". I couldn't believe that my parents wouldn't allow Wonder Bread in our house. I thought everyone else had it so much better than we did. Pop-Tarts would have been a dream. It's funny how now I have no interest in such things. My wise parents...they were right all along.

Have you ever eaten anything as crazy as a bowl of Lucky Charms for breakfast? Just curious :)

I think your blog is amazing! I found your blog through Nichole's blog. Breakfast is often overlooked but it's so important.
While I love the food part of your pictures, I've been adoring your wonderful coffee mug. It just has so much character.
